Purchase Cargotecture

If you are interested in purchasing a cargotecture home you should be prepared to answer some basic questions so we can best assist you in your purchase:

1. Do you own land

2. In which state or country are you located.

3. What is your total budget (including site work, transportation, local permits etc).

4. How will you finance your home.  Most banks are unfamiliar with container based construction but we can point you to a lender that can help with construction financing if needed.

Once you’ve answered these questions just give us a call (206-267-9277). We get several email inquiries a day and find the best way to communicate is directly.

If your project and budget are right, we will all take the next step together.

Step One: Feasibility Analysis

HyBrid will research the specifics of your site to determine and assess the feasibility of transportation, crane access, local zoning codes, foundation required etc.  These task are typically billed hourly and very rarely run over $1000.

Step Two:  Plans and Permits

Although your cargotecture home is factory built and permitted, typically local permits are required for land use review, foundation design, and utilities.  This requires a set of documents be submitted to your local jurisdiction for approval.  In addition to our in-house architectural staff, HyBrid works with a national network of architects and engineers that can help in the creation of local submittal documents.  This task can be completed for a fixed fee and typically ranges from $2000-$5000 depending on site complexity (not including permit expenses)

Step Three:  Contract signing, deposits and production schedule.

Once all permits have been received, a 25%  non-refundable deposit is required upon contract initiation.  This is to insure a spot in the production schedule and to purchase materials for your project.

Step Four:  Production begins

An additional 25% deposit is required to begin construction of the home.  Production typically takes 30-60 days depending on options and complexity of your project.

Step Five:  Factory completion and delivery

The balance of the sales price is due upon factory completion of your cargotecture unit. HyBrid will continue to be involved in assisting in the transportation, setting and button-up of your home. If you are located in Washington State working with HyBrid Assembly for foundation work and utilities we will continue working with you directly to transport and set the home.  If you are working with local contractors we will continue to coordinate the effort to insure a smooth delivery.

Step Six:  Occupancy

Enjoy your new cargotecture home!!
